Lectio Divina, which translates to "Divine Reading" in Latin, is a cherished practice within Western Christianity that fosters a deep connection with God through the sacred Scriptures. This traditional monastic discipline emphasizes not merely studying the text but engaging with it as the living Word of God. The practice unfolds in four distinct stages: reading (lectio), where a passage is carefully read; meditation (meditatio), which involves reflecting on its meaning; prayer (oratio), where one responds to God; and contemplation (contemplatio), a time of resting in God's presence. Through these steps, we will seek to deepen our  understanding and communion with the divine, allowing the Scriptures to transform our hearts and lives.
